Some months ago, when I decided to start this blog, my first post was on the book One Day. The book chronicles the complex relationship of Emma and Dex over the period of twenty years. Not a simplistic love story, this tale mirrors more of the way in which real life love transpires. Love that is not always easy, not always romantic, but is true love nonetheless. For me, it is sometimes the moment when I am stuck in bed vomiting from the flu that I realize how lucky in love I am, as opposed to when I come home to roses and romantic dinners. I am very excited for the film that comes out this Friday and can't wait to go and see what the director Lone Scherfig does with the story.
